Mint Dental Works’ services focus on caring for your overall oral hygiene, and maintaining the health of your teeth, gums, and mouth. This includes diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of a number of dental conditions, diseases, and disorders that can affect not only the teeth and gums, but the jaw and face as well. Regular preventative care is the key to a healthy mouth, so we recommend scheduling cleaning/exams at least twice a year. This will give our team the opportunity to catch minor oral health issues before they turn into major dental health issues.
Mint Dental Works welcomes patients at every stage of life. High-quality, consistent oral care is an integral part of children growing into healthy adults. With this in mind, our team helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of good habits. We emphasize preventative and diagnostic services in an upbeat, nurturing atmosphere that helps our Junior Mint patients build positive associations with dental care.
Fillings are performed to remove decay and replace the affected tooth structure. It is called a filling because new material fills the hole after removing the decay. The filling material used in our office is a resin composite material that will match the natural color of your tooth. Caught early enough through regular dental examinations and x-rays, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly.
A sealant is a thin resin coating painted on the tooth surface to fill in the narrow grooves and pits of a tooth that are difficult to clean. In some cases these uneven areas in a tooth are small enough that the bristle of a toothbrush cannot adequately reach and clean the trapped plaque.
Bridges literally bridge the gap created when teeth are lost. Typically a bridge consists of one or more artificial teeth (pontics) which are held in place by two dental crowns (abutments). A bridge is a created by reshaping existing teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth to prepare them for crowns.
Mint utilizes CEREC® 3-D technology to provide metal-free, custom ceramic crowns, veneers and other dental restorations in just one visit!
A dental crown renews the shape, comfort, and function of a tooth damaged by deep decay, severe wear, or a fracture. In many dental offices, crowns require multiple of appointments over the period of several weeks. Older methods require that an impression is taken and sent to a lab where your crown is fabricated.
Oral cancer screenings can help to identify cancer early, when there is a greater chance for a cure. Our team isn’t just concerned with the care of our patients’ teeth, but their overall health as well. Approximately 42,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral and throat cancers annually. When cancer is detected and treated early, the long-term outcome is significantly improved.
X-rays, also known as radiographs, are an essential part of any dental care treatment plan. They are both diagnostic and preventive, allowing us to diagnose hidden oral care issues. By utilizing newer digital X-ray technology, Mint Dental Works reduces our patient’s exposure to radiation up to 85% less than film-based radiography. In other words, this is less exposure than a few hours of sunshine.
Regular, professional dental cleanings and exams are essential for maintaining a healthy mouth. The American Dental Association recommends visiting the dentist at least two times per year to ensure optimal oral health. Semiannual appointments will help you learn more about how to thoroughly care for your teeth and gums and help detect early stages of periodontal disease.
I have had some negative experiences at past dental offices. I was impressed with their friendly staff; clean, modern building, and efforts to understand my past dental experiences and discussion around ways to improve my experience at their office. I would recommend this office to others who have had fear of the dentist. I enjoyed being seen in a clean, healthy building as well. Brooke B,, 04/10/17 (Published on RateABiz)View More Testimonials
I've never liked a dentist practice enough to say much about it before. That was until I started coming to Mint Dental. I really can't express how great they are. The staff is awesome, the place is clean and nice and did I mention they have vibrating chairs and warm neck pillows? They make going to the dentist not so bad. I highly recommend! You take good care of my teeth. I trust you. I love the work Dr McMillan did on my front teeth to make them look so lovely and yet natural. I believe that is called cosmetic dentistry. I have recommended you – no second thoughts on that!! Roberta B., 05/18/17 (Published on RateABiz)View More Testimonials
